About the Division
As part of its mandate, CSIR-FRI is to convert the outcomes of the scientific projects into snap short to solve peculiar problems. Over the years these outcomes have been converted to services or products. The Commercialization Division is responsible for commercializing technologies, services and products developed over the years in the Institute to benefit the individuals, SMEs, Companies and the industry as a whole. It actively collaborates with the Research Division to realize these goals.

Coordinates and organises the following training programmes:
- Sales & Training In Edible & Medicinal Mushroom Production
- Intensive mushroom cultivation training
- Mushroom cropping training
- Aflatoxin-Free groundnut paste training for the public
- Food Safety for Catering / Food Service Personnel Training
- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Training
- Fruit Juices, Jam and Marmalade Making Training for the general public
- Coconut Milk and Coconut Oil Processing Training
- Orange Fleshed Sweet Potato Yogurt Making Training
- Malting of Cereals, and Brewing Training
- Training on the Production and Use of High-Quality Cassava Flour (HQCF)
- Training in Food Packaging and Labelling
- Vegetable Processing (Shito and Tomato Ketchup) Training
- Soy Milk and Tofu Processing Training
- Cocoa Processing and Chocolate Production training
- Processing of chocolate spread and filled chocolates.
